Our Children’s ministry is ever growing! When your children arrive on campus they are well loved and cared for by our leaders and volunteers. All our workers attend safety and abuse prevention training, and many are CPR certified. But most of all, our workers have a desire for your child to grow to be the person Christ desires them to be.
Sunday School
4 yrs–2nd Grade
3rd–5th Grade
Our Sunday school classes for 4 yrs–5th grade are split into 2 classes: 4 yrs–2nd grade and 3rd–5th grade. Our Sunday School teachers are incredible; they love the kids and strive to teach them about the Gospel. Sunday school is so important. It is where the basic Bible knowledge starts.
Nursery
Ages 0-3
Our nursery is staffed by loving and kind church volunteers. Children 0-3 years old enjoy playing, rocking, snacks, and napping. Nursery is provided during Sunday School, the 10:30am Church Service, and Wednesday night during Bible Study, 6:00pm – 7:30pm.
AWANA
4 yrs–2nd Grade
3rd–5th Grade
Our AWANA program is flourishing. Each week we have more and more students coming. It has been a huge blessing to our church to watch so many young people come through the doors to learn about Jesus. AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed. It comes from the Bible verse 2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
The program is designed to teach children how to study and memorize scripture. It is broken up by age and classes.
Cubbies: 4yrs – Kindergarten (1 class)
Sparks: 1st – 2nd grade (2 classes)
T&T: 3rd – 5th grade (3 classes)
The children get to enjoy a large group lesson, classroom time, gym time, store nights, and theme nights.

FBC operates a long running MDO Program. We have 3 classes: 2yr, 3yr, and a 4–5 yr. class. The program operates on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:30 – 2:30. We follow the HF School Calendar for Holidays, early releases, and inclement weather. Each class is specific to the age group. They learn fine motor skills, ABC’s, numbers, colors, all the way to adding, writing their name, and so much more!
One of the best parts of MDO is Chapel time. We all come together in the Sanctuary and do our pledges, songs, and a Bible Story of the week.
